JackHammer
High-repetition Mid-IR Detector
View Datasheet

JackHammer is a powerful detection system for high repetition rate mid-IR laser systems, capable of shot-to-shot acquisition at up to 100 kHz with very low noise.

Perfect for high signal-to-noise data collection in mid-IR transient absorption, pump-probe, and 2D IR experiments.

Purchase a complete new package or upgrade your existing MCT detector.

VERY LOW NOISE
Dark noise an order of magnitude lower than laser noise.

Typical dark noise is ~6 counts (standard deviation over 500 shots)

GREAT FOR MID-IR EXPERIMENTS
Mid-IR transient absorption
2D IR Spectroscopy
2D Vis-IR Spectroscopy
USE WITH EXISTING MCT DETECTORS
JackHammer works with older MCT arrays - upgrade your old detector to work with your new 100 kHz laser.
DESIGNED FOR ULTRAFAST

Electrical circuit design for JackHammer was developed by Prof. Dr. Peter Hamm from the University of Zurich. Prof. Hamm has decades of experience designing acquisition systems for ultrafast experiments.
